Driveway Pour & Replacement

Old driveway out, a new one poured on a properly compacted base.

Overview

A driveway fails from the ground down, so we start under the slab: tear out the old concrete, regrade, and compact the base before a single form goes up. We pour an air-entrained mix that stands up to Albuquerque's freeze-thaw cycles, reinforce it, cut control joints at the right spacing, and finish with a clean broom texture. Then we're honest about the part nobody likes — keeping vehicles off it while it cures.

Signs you need this

  • Cracked, heaved slabs from years of freeze-thaw
  • Sunken sections that pond water at the garage apron
  • Spalling and flaking across the surface
  • A driveway that drains toward the house instead of away
